FIRST PRINCIPLES

at Community Bible Church

First Principles Small Group Studies.  While there are a number of other small group opportunities at CBC, this is a foundational set of Bible studies that provides a common path for every member of our church to lay a common foundation for a lifetime of   spiritual growth and ministry.  This series is a set of nine six-session Bible study guides used in a small group setting.

Weekly discussions facilitated by a trained leader help learners internalize and apply concepts to spiritual formation and development of Christian character.  Each of the studies incorporates a project that is directed toward life and ministry applications of learned  principles.

These are the 9 topics covered by the FIRST PRINCIPLES series   representing the study of over 60 specific scripture texts:

 · Becoming a Disciple

· Belonging to a Family of Families

· Participating in the Mission of the Church

· Cultivating Habits of the Heart

 · Enjoying Your Relationships

· Passing on Your Beliefs

· Envisioning Fruitful LifeWork

· Building for Future Generations

 · Handling the Word with Confidence

FOR A DETAILED SUMMARY OF EACH OF THESE STUDIES GO TO: www.bild.org  Then click on the “resources” page.

The First Principles series introduces the learner to a Consistent Study Process that is used throughout the Church-Based Theological Education program at CBC.
