Faith Academy is a school for missionary children in Manila, Philippines. It serves over 130 mission agencies. The primary purpose of the school is to teach the students to be Christ-like, life-long learners. The student body consists of approx. 580 students. One main reason missionaries leave the field early is because they don't have a decent educational option for their kids. Faith Academy exists to keep missionaries on the field.

Nathan was born and raised in Mt Vernon, Iowa. He graduated from Mt Vernon High School in 1992. He has a BA in Business Education and a MA in General Ministry.

Valerie was born in New Mexico, grew up in Nevada, and attended college in California. She has a BS in Liberal Studies.

Nate and Valerie met at Faith Academy during the 2005-06 school year. They returned to the states in June 2006 to marry. They spent the following year doing the Biblical command of “taking a year off from work after marriage.” They also switched their mission agencies to Wycliffe Bible Translators. The year was filled with meeting each other’s friends and families, as well as, building a team of prayer partners and financial partners so they could go back to the Philippines and continue on in the ministry God has called them to.

JM is working full time in Southern Asia though an international organization. To protect her and the work she is doing, access to her details and updates have been restricted. If you would like access to this information please contact one of the members of her Care Committee. Thank you for understanding!

JM fell in love with Southern Asia and its people on a short-term work trip there while attending Bible College. After graduating JM began the process of raising support and preparing to enter full time work. She will be returning to the region soon to begin her service. Once there, she will be working with others to actively demonstrate God's love to those in and around her community.

Please visit JM's page for more details regarding her work, her challenges, her praises, and this people group which has captured her heart! Remember, access is available upon request, just ask.
