Nathan and Valerie Bunting Serving at Faith Academy, Manila, Philippines Click here for additional information

Faith Academy is a school for missionary children in Manila, Philippines. It serves over 130 mission agencies. The primary purpose of the school is to teach the students to be Christ-like, life-long learners. The student body consists of approx. 580 students. One main reason missionaries leave the field early is because they don't have a decent educational option for their kids. Faith Academy exists to keep missionaries on the field. Nathan was born and raised in Mt Vernon, Iowa. He graduated from Mt Vernon High School in 1992. He has a BA in Business Education and a MA in General Ministry. Valerie was born in New Mexico, grew up in Nevada, and attended college in California. She has a BS in Liberal Studies. Nate and Valerie met at Faith Academy during the 2005-06 school year. They returned to the states in June 2006 to marry. They spent the following year doing the Biblical command of “taking a year off from work after marriage.” They also switched their mission agencies to Wycliffe Bible Translators. The year was filled with meeting each other’s friends and families, as well as, building a team of prayer partners and financial partners so they could go back to the Philippines and continue on in the ministry God has called them to.
