Below is the latest information from Nathan and Valerie Bunting.

NEWS:
The Buntings continue to serve in the Philippines.  Val had been teaching 4th grade at Faith Academy but is now attending seminary with the goal of completing her ACSI teaching certification (Association of Christian School International).  Val continues to teach 1st and 2nd grade Sunday School. Nate continues at Faith Academy serving as the guidance counselor, teaching Christian Living, coaching, co-advising the student council with the school chaplin, and leading a Bible study for young men in high school. 

Nate and Valerie proudly announced that they are expecting a baby by the end of January.  An ultrasound picture of Baby Bunting can be seen in the August 2009 bulletin (see the link further below).  

Nate and Valerie are asking for prayer for the people of Manila concerning the recent destructive flooding.  Many people lost loved ones, homes, vehicles, power and water.  Download the October Bunting Bulletin (see the link further below) for additional information and pictures.

• For healthy development of the baby (due the end of January).
• For wisdom in how we use our money.
• For Valerie's Sunday school class and seminary classes.
• That Nathan's classes will be fruitful and student council will be able to handle the many pressures of their events.
• For the flood victims and their recovery.
• That disease does not spread among the flood victims.
• That people would be safe from upcoming storms.
• That God would be glorified amidst the calamity in Manila.

PRAYER PRAISE:
Nathan's and Valerie's current praise requests are:

• Everything is going well with the baby!
• We were kept safe from the floods.

SPIRITUAL CHALLENGE:
Their current spiritual challenges about which we can pray for them are:

• Valerie - a personal challenge to really understand prayer.
• Nathan - more time seeking God in prayer.
